Pour it Up, Smoothie’s! #OurProject52

Every day for the past 2 weeks I’ve gotten up 10 minutes earlier so I could make me a smoothie to start the day. I basically mix whatever is in the fridge… yogurt, blueberries, peaches, strawberries, spinach or broccoli, Thorne Research MediClear Protein powder, juice or almond milk, and whatever fresh berries I’ve picked up.

Yesterday I must have put too much of one or not enough of of the other because my smoothie came out looks like Barney the Purple Dinosaur!!

It was so ugly!

And it taste similar to how it looked. But I’m not wasteful so I drank the whole thing.. Holding my breath with each sip! LOL

If you’re wondering why I’m taking this picture outside, natural light is the best for any type of shot! My house is pretty dark in the morning so I had to wait to grab this ugliness! LOL

Hopefully Mimi of LipglossandBinky and her friend of Everyday EyeCandy have better things in their cups!

  • It looks better than it must taste. lol I just thought it had a lot of blueberry. I’ve never made a smoothie before but I do like to buy them. #ourproject52

    • It’s cheaper for me to buy then instead of purchasing them for $4/$5 each. Little more time consuming, but so worth the effort!

  • That looks like a lot of blueberries.

  • LOL I hate it when I experiment with smoothies and it doesn’t come out quite right. But when it’s ugly and tastes good? That just makes me laugh. I’m silly.

  • I love a great smoothie! I have had some Barney Purple ones in my day too.
I am sorry it was not tasty like you expected, but kudos for not wasting it.

    Happy Friday!

  • I’ve never been able to get into smoothies because of how thick they can be. I think your smoothie looks tasty. And I’m laughing at you holding your breath with every sip, LOL! I do that when I have to drink something nasty too!

    • I found letting it blend for longer does help thin it out! Holding your breath is the only way to go! lol

  • I love drinking smoothies too. My two year old loves purple smoothies (ones with lots of blueberries) the best.

  • I love smoothies. But I hate making them. And then having to clean the blender….can you say lazy?
