Since I was a young chap I’ve always been one of the “girly girls!” At 4 I was asking my mother to paint my nails for picture day and make sure the polish did not chip using my grandma Sally Hansen Nail Harder! LOL This love for nails followed me into middle school where I tried to convince my teacher to have a tea party in 5th grade where we could eat cookies and paint nails! When I got of working age in high school, my budget definitely included getting my “nail art” on at the shops that did the best one finger designs! You couldn’t tell me nothing!
As an adult I adopted a pretty bland manicure style with solid colors or 2-3 changes of color, but still solid. Keeping with my child hood habits, I kept my manicures in tact using Sally Hansen’s Double Duty clear polish. Last year a creative bug bit me I decided to take my nails to a different level and do nail art with them. The consist part of all my years is that Sally Hansen has always been apart of my repertoire.
I was uber excited to get the opportunity to “do what I do best” manicures and parties! This I Heart My Nail Art party was so amazing for my friends because I NEVER do their nails and this was an opportunity of me to feed them and polish them! I headed to my Greek Town Walgreens to check out the what they had available. I was not disappointed.
I filled my cart with a variety of Sally Hansen Nail Polishes, Salon Effects, Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens, and the Gel Art Kit. I moved on over to the candy isle to make sure my guest were wired up on rainbow treats to make sure they were amped for this nail art session. I’m wrong I know! lol Picked up some tasty Subway sandwiches and they were set to go!
They were pretty excited to be getting their nails created by the great Tori :-). I used the Salon Effect and Nail Polish along with the nail art pens to create very unique designs. They were treated like royalty for this party, because usually I tell them to “get it yourself!” LOL
Nice little before and after using Nail Art Pens, Salon Effects, and Insta Dri
Everyone’s favorite was turning out to be the Salon Effects and Insta-Dri. I’m wondering if they were trying to hurry up and leave mi casa! What y’all think??!?!? HAHA
Of course I had to wait until everyone left to finish my nails, couldn’t have my nails getting messed up with all the acetone floating around. Because I love y’all so much I decided to to a tutorial to help you with your nail art. To complete this look I used Nail Art Pens and Polish. I must say the Nails art Pens made it quite easy for me to complete this Pop Art Trend.
